"This program was last saved with version XXXXX"

Is there any way to stop calypso from asking "This program was last saved with version XXXXX"?
Like is there an "Do not ask again" button that i can click so i don't always get this message whenever i move a group of programs from the offline to the online seat?
The offline is 6.2 the online is 6.6, so the versions are close enough, and the programs will run fine on either machine. It's just a pain to always hang up every time a new program gets run.

Does Zeiss read these comments? The old forum had a bug fix section that i was convinced was never read by anybody, and only the submissions written in german were ever upvoted.

I only know this message to come up when you save from the newer Calypso version. Are you saying you get it when you just run the program? That would be odd indeed.

Btw. that old "bugfix" section was really a "request-a-feature" section. The idea was to vote for the requests that you liked most, and the promise was to implement the 5 (or 3?) features with the most votes. Yeah. 🙄 I once had two submissions that made it to a release candidate. The first one (virtual joysticks) was implemented - sort of -, but the usability is not even remotely what I had in mind (which was precise machine movement in Planner). Try it and you'll see...
The second one was to improve the way probe rack assignments are stored. I had been adding very detailed explanations of what was wrong and how to improve it. In the end all they did was to add a comment that the problem would be solved by the upcoming ID chip recognition, which was as wrong as it could be. That comment only showed that they hadn't even understood the problem.

The successor of that section is the MyVoice section at the Metrology Portal (see ad in the forum news). I looked at it once, then chose to ignore it. I have no time for occupational therapy. 🙄

I get the error when i create or update a program on my offline (6.2) and open and run it on the CMM computer (6.6).
But it also happens when we update calypso to a new version, every program asks this question the first time you hit save.
I wish there was a "do not ask me again" button or a "Do not ask me again for 24 hours" button.

My theory on the old big fix forum..........
I dont think they looked at it at all, but when they were about to release a new rev it was someones job to scan the big fix log and see if anything had been coincidentally covered, and then they could say "We fixed these 4 items as brought to us by our faithful users", and like you said, they never really fixed anything right.

I can't remember ever seeing that message when RUNNING a program. At saving time, it's normal and is there to prevent you from creating a save file in the new format, being unable to open it in the older Calypso version. Once you've saved in the new format, it should be gone for good.
Maybe there's a config option somewhere? I never saw anything like it, but my memory may fail on me.

Regarding the software wish section, I think it was like with so many new things Zeiss started in the past: They began enthusiastically and promoted it as THE tool of the future (that was the time when I entered my wishes). Then, after a while, when daily routine had taken over and the number of wishes had grown so overwhelmingly that nobody could ever catch up with the backlog, they grew tired of it and at some point nobody really cared about it anymore. I guess the same happened to the rack assignment storage feature I mentioned. It's there but nobody will ever care to enhance it

It doesn't do the err when Running the program, just when saving.
But when we update EVERY program shows this err when saving, one time each.

It would be nice to have a "Do not show this again" option on several windows. How about when setting a upr pre-filter. That message is so annoying.

Roberto,
I had a similar problem once, a newer offline seat and even though I could save it as an older version it wouldn't let me open it in the older online seat. I was able to edit the "Version" file that resides in the program folder to work around it. The file has no extension but I could still open and edit it with Notepad.

I'm under the impression that programs not saved to the current version do not use current version changes.
If a program is v6.2.x and the current version is 6.6.x then it is ran per v6.2.x, thus, you are not utilizing current changes.
