[Ja...] Posted June 5, 2020 Share Posted June 5, 2020 I have a part with a small 90 deg. V which has a .005 radius at the bottom which I cannot reach with a probe. I have created two 2d lines on the sides of the V and an intersection of the two lines to give me a theoretical sharp corner at the bottom of the V. I need the calculated dimension of the bottom of the radius, which I know is 0.0021 + in the Z axis from my theoretical sharp corner. [Cl...] Posted June 5, 2020 Share Posted June 5, 2020 Try constructing a circle from tangent, or contour in best fit. If you've never used either of them, let me know. Pull both lines into either one to create a theoretical circle. (The one you can't reach). You can use that circle to get your offset dimension. [SH...] Posted June 5, 2020 Share Posted June 5, 2020 Please sign in to view this quote. this is the correct method, imagine production people use one tool for plane and other tool for the radius and the problem in the tool used to produce radius, so obviously radius will not be ok.
