Computing Gap (vertical marginal gap) between two components

Dear Members,

I have two fabricated jaws, viz., lower and upper jaws. I want to evaluate the gap (vertical marginal gap) between the two while they are placed over each other. I have attached the pictures for your reference.
I would be grateful if someone can suggest me a methodology. I have been using ZEISS ACCURA and Calypso.

Thank you for your time.
Kind Regards,
Syed

I would start with those 5 pins which go to each other as base alignment. Then use formula to compute distances from reference Z=0.

If you have models of both, then place those models next to each other, prepare new alignment for 2. model by MAN scanning.
Then you can continue with CNC measuring ( elements for second alignment must have selectected new Coord system )
