add friend/add foe

I just noticed that there is a option to "add friend" / "add foe" when looking at someones profile... any idea what this is for, aside from blocking people? Can you make groups for messages or side topics?

It's just ancient phpBB message board functionality. As you already mentioned, the (poorly named) foes list is a blocklist, so you don't see forum posts, although private messages are still allowed to be sent by people on that list. The friend list here might highlight posts from people marked as such, but I don't know if the forum admins use that. Both lists can be used to configure private message rules, e.g. you can automatically delete PMs from people set as foes.
