Probing vector

Maybe I never noticed it before, but I was qualifying a probe (Qualify Passive) and when the scanning portion finished,
it probed the six points, but it didn't approach normal the sphere on the equator, It came in a downward angle? I don't
remember seeing it do that before? Yes, it's set to 180 degrees.

The top two points are always a few degrees off axis, so they wouldn't probe straight down, they would probe at the normal vector angle.

You can also see this in action if you use the Sphere Macro.

Can you post a video?
You haven't had a firmware update on your C99 controller by Zeiss?

Clarke, are you using 2 different sized reference sphere? If so, you may have the wrong one selected.

Never thought about that? I do have two, but I'm 99% sure I chose
the correct sphere. When I get time, I'll run it again to make sure.

Oh, I misread your post. Go into the Stylus System Management - Select the desired stylus system - expand to see Geometry, and look at the vector for that particular stylus.
