[Cl...]
Maybe I never noticed it before, but I was qualifying a probe (Qualify Passive) and when the scanning portion finished, it probed the six points, but it didn't approach normal the sphere on the equator, It came in a downward angle? I don't remember seeing it do that before? Yes, it's set to 180 degrees.

[Ri...]
The top two points are always a few degrees off axis, so they wouldn't probe straight down, they would probe at the normal vector angle. You can also see this in action if you use the Sphere Macro.

[Cl...]
Never thought about that? I do have two, but I'm 99% sure I chose the correct sphere. When I get time, I'll run it again to make sure.

Go into the Stylus System Management - Select the desired stylus system - expand to see Geometry, and look at the vector for that particular stylus. [Cl...]
It's a star probe, and the one styli doing this is the straight down Z. Just checked it. It is correct, -1.
[Ri...]
Did you verify that you are using the correct reference sphere. Is the sphere coverage set to 180°?
[Cl...]
Yes, correct sphere, and 180 deg.
[Ri...]
Then I'm at a loss. Does it only do it with one particular stylus system/styli, or all?
