[Ia...]
Flag Note 4: "Datum A to consist of the inside surface, including the radius and flats". I don't know how to make this a feature that can be used as a datum within Calypso.
[Cl...]
Just the surfaces shown? I'm assuming that -A- is primary? My first thought was to use that longer straight edge on the bottom as a planar rotation, then translate to the center of the radius?
[Ia...]
So do you think it should control just one translation?
[Ke...]
Please sign in to view this quote. How is the datum applied? (to what features/orientations)?
[Ia...]
Please sign in to view this quote. It applies to all profiles and all holes along the entirety of the part, which are on the radius, and both flats. A is primary datum in all control frames. I guess this brings up a different question. Using the can may must rule, if it CAN and may constrain them, it has to right? Or would basic dimensions override that? [Da...]
Unless it has from A--B or something like that it is only the Plane Not the entire surfaceCapture.JPG
[Da...]
I'm Guessing Note 4 is the defining the Datum? I would use a profile scan make it best fit from the two planes with Rotation and translation. Then use that Best fit alignment to check the other features. I will try it tomorrow when I have time. Send Screenshots. Thanks Dan
