[To...]
Maybe they will start working on a DuraMax style machine with larger volume. Large enough for an RDS?
[Is...]
I would like to have a Duramax with VAST XTR or Minimum the possibility to have self centering scanning on curves… but I have the impression that the only thing we will have is the PRISMO Fortis... 😐
[Ri...]
Please sign in to view this quote. RDS - ewww. Active is the only way to go. I'll take an XTR and be happy.
[To...]
Please sign in to view this quote. Almost every time we’re doing a Zeiss demo on a DuraMax, we get asked if the head can articulate. We say “No, but this Contura does.” Then they ask how much or is the Contura a shop floor machine? RDS machines are popular in New England shops. [Ri...]
Please sign in to view this quote. The amount of people who ask for an articulating head, but don't really need one is a large number. I don't know about your territory, but I will say that Renishaw has done a great job of making their heads "the norm". People have seen so many CMMs with PH-10s on them, that they think that all CMMs should have it. Drives me crazy because active scanning is leaps and bounds ahead of passive scanning. [Da...]
I would love to see a high capacity probe changer that doesn't use table space ! Those retractable ones don't really save any table space ! We need something that comes in on an upper corner, changes probes, and gets out of the way 🤠 🤠 🤠
[Ri...]
Have you ever used an RT GageMax before? Those ProMax changers are a must! In my past life I had an RT GageMax, and it took less than an hour before I realized that I should have purchased a ProMax with the system. It was well worth the cost to get one installed. [Cl...]
Why couldn't CMM manufacturers just cut a step in the granite near the rear of the machine, deep enough to accommodate long probes. Put a probe changer there. Now its just slightly above the granite instead of taking up space on the perimeter. Only difference would be, It would have to pick styli up coming from Z+ as apposed to the current X or Y.
