Did you use regular PLA filament? I used to 3D print as much as I could but now I get it machined out of delrin if I can. I still 3D print a lot of stuff for the CMM but I'm really not a fan of that crappy material.

Yes 3D printing is changing things I really like R&R, Rayco, and others fixtures.
We have stopped buying there fixtures and just purchase a Prusa 3D printer for $350.00
Now we can make any fixture and not scratch the part.
As for printers we have tried different brands from $250 to $78,000 this is the only printer that we have found that prints as good as a $78,000 printer but doesn't cost a arm and leg. The self leveling is amazing.

We have over 30 Prusa Printer right now.

We use PETG and PLA +
Regular PLA will become brittle over time. I like eSun and Pruse PLA.

This right here. Machining from Delrin is super nice. It costs more, but it works well.

Try using PETG it runs hotter the print quality isn't as great but it is much stronger.
That is what the Prusa Printer plastic parts are made from.
