calypso free download

I saw somewhere that Zeiss was allowing offline seats to be downloaded at no charge to encourage work at home. Is that correct? How does one do this? thank you.

The thing sucks is its only the 2019 and 2018 versions, most of my machines are running older version so if I use these to program they won't be able to open on those machines.

Are you certain about that? I don't know what these "licenses" look like, but I know for the standard licenses they are always backwards compatible. Where a 2019 license would open Calypso 2019-2014 (2014 I believe is when they went to the new ZLAU).

The newer version can open all the old ones, but 6.4 cannot run a 2019 program. I don't know the exact point it stops working, ive had some luck changing the version file to the older and having it work but at some point the 6.6.xx recent version don't work that way.

What I'm saying is that the license will run an older version of Calypso itself. If you have a 2019 (6.8) license, you should be able to install and run 2017 (6.4).

You CAN run older programs that are made in 6.8 without any compatibility saving.

I ran stuff on 5.6 that were made in 6.8 all the time. You just cant use any of the "newer" strategies (i.e. no caliper distance, no slot strategy) or it complains about it being done in a newer version, and it also seems to render your imported cad model invisible or changes it to wireframe or something. But it does work.
