[Ja...]
I have a Contura G2 about 8years old and I have been having problems with the -X half of my machine. If I have two fixtures set up and go to run the program on the -X part of the machine in automatic mode I hear a small pop of air when it crosses mid point of machine, which when I took the cover off seems to be the z brake engaging, and will not allow the program to keep running when trying to move in Z-. Errors I see are 115 Drive monitoring has shut down +E7925! axis, reason and 4 travel command rejected, motor output stage not ready. All of my measurements are still correct vs a master gage used before issue began. Has anyone seen something like this before? All help is appreciated. [Ma...]
Hello, If the drives are kicking off, the brake will engage as a safety feature as designed. If you notice that it only happening as you move in X- for example, I would suspect a cable issue in the X-axis for the Z-brake or limit. At this point, I think it would be best to get in touch with your local Zeiss centre and ask for a service tech. to come and look. Sorry for the bad news 🙁
