Space points from a cylinder?

Hi All,

We are taking 18 points on a cylinder. The locations of the points are customer specified and they want the distance from the point taken to nominal on the inspection report ( space point ). Is there a way to display the space points of a cylinder?

We tried taking 18 individual points, getting the space point measurements from each point, then recalling them into a cylinder but we are getting wild numbers on the space points.

Any advice? Thanks in advance!

Did you do Recall or Recall Feature Points? Recall Feature Points would carry over the vector information.

You can create a point manually, Features > Point, Change the evaluation to Space Point, and then go to Recall Feature Points, find the cylinder, right click on the Cylinder from the list, and select Add Range Limits

Then from the first button choose the point number you're interested in.

Use that in a Space Point distance characteristic.
