[Ma...]
I remember seeing a thread on opening a newer version of a Calypso program into a older version of Calypso. 6.4 program to 6.0 version of Calypso. I've searched the forum but can't find it. It has to do with changing the version in a file, as I remember. Does anyone have this information? [Ja...]
Mark, Try going to the program directory and opening the "version" file in notepad. You should be able to change the version. It is my understanding that if this still doesn't work, then the newer program uses features that your version doesn't quite have available to it. If that's the case, then you can screen the "inspection" file and try to carefully delete whatever is exclusive to the newer version while maintaining general program functionality. [Ma...]
This program uses the gear software which I don't have. That will be difficult to sort out of the inspection file. Mark
[Ri...]
The version work-around does not work with a measurement plan written in 2019.

[Ja...]
Mark, If the information is not sensitive I wouldn't mind taking a look at the inspection file for you to see whether or not I can get it. I have done it before with a 6.6.20 program (I am running 6.2.28).
[Ma...]
Dane I can't even get the file to open to check these settings. I would have to have it open first. Mark
[Ma...]
Yeah Jacob I'm under an NDA so I can't share it. The customer overnighted one of their dongles on the cmm and I was able to complete the job, thanks Mark
[se...]
Please sign in to view this quote. Richard, I found that a 2019 meas plan wouldn't open in 2017, but a 2019 version file 'method' worked in 2018. Then doing same again from 2018 and saving... I was able to open in 2017.... which is the release that all our seats use. That said, the above is just too much effort (to me anyway). I guess either I need to sway the boss to update all to 2019 or we stay at 2017
