O-Inspect: Zoom Slider gone

Some minutes ago I encountered a strange phenomenon in Calypso 2018:
Since I'm currently working from home I wanted to prove out a few optical programs on the O-Inspect in the plant via a Skype connection. My co-worker, who is still there, had already run the programs successfully before, just to see if they make it through. For the everyday work at the O-Inspect we use a generic Windows login. But for the Skype connection my co-worker had to log in with his own credentials. So we connected via Skype and he shared the Calypso GUI, so I could see what was going on. But when we tried to run the programs, Calypso refused and complained about an unknown probe. We then noticed that the zoom slider in the toolbar at the top was missing. 127_e8090c4a78f472668e5712bdf768cf65.jpg
Instead it showed the normal dropdown for tactile styli. Normally Calypso switches from tactile to optical automatically when an optical program is run. The weird thing is, we saw the camera image, the traffic light window showed the correct zoom factor, but Calypso acted as if there was no probe at all. We tried everything from a Calypso restart to a full reboot of PC and CMM, but to no avail.
The only remedy for this problem was to switch to the generic Windows login again.

Has anybody ever encountered a problem like this? I don't think it had anything to do with Skype running. According to my colleague it also happened when Skype was off. So it must have to do with the Windows login used. But how can this affect Calypso's behavior? All Calypso settings are in public folders and our personal logins have the same if not more access rights than the generic ones. Any ideas?

If your generic login has local administrator rights and the domain login does not have administrator rights there may be a problem with permission settings.
