Autorun Interface

Hello,

We are busy with setting an interface in autorun so that it is easy for the operators of the whole factory to start a measuring program. Only, I got a question about doing an manual measurement (without an CNC program).

Is it possible to do a CMM measurement without an CNC program in AutoRun? For instance: a Lathe operator makes a ring, but there is no program for that ring and he is just probing the ring on the CMM with Calypso to determine the diameter.

I would like to have a button in my Autorun Interface wich starts Calypso so the operator can preform a manual measurement without a CNC program without leaving AutoRun.

I hope somebody could help me out with this.

Not that I know of. Its not set up to run that way.


Can you create a program that has a fixture?
The op can set the ring in this fixture somehow and then run the prg to tell him./her the diam. Maybe set the search a little larger than needed so it wont crash if the diam is small etc..

Maybe you can make a program and set MAN CNC mode to MAN in Calypso. Then the program will be run in man also in autorun.

I think by design Autorun limits the amount an operator can do.
It's made so the only option (when the permissions are down tight) an operator has is to start an approved program & run it.

In 2019 there is a Calypso Express option. You could setup that User to have access to that, so when they left AutoRun it would take them to the Calypso Express to be able to do some simple measurements.
