Excel Question

I have one program that adds dimensions in the excel report. With each run it reports about 12 lines of extra info and none of it relates to the part being checked. This same program runs on another machine and reports fine. No other program on this one machine does this, (thank God).
Also so it's the exact info each time. No variation in the actuals. It's ghost info.
Any thoughts?

Kevin,
The parts that are measured in the excel report and which are the most rows remain in your report. I had the same problem. I had to use it this way for a long time. It improved when I changed the characteristic file in the file that I had previously backed up.

Each cmm pulls it's own program from it's respective folder over the network. So The CMMs do not share programs. Though the excel results do end up in the same folder from both machines. Hope that answers your Q.

I had the same thing when.
Resources -> Define Printout -> Select EXCEL Report ->
The selected excel template was different on a few plans. The excel selection was an old template that had been saved over with a separate populated version.

The reason I ask is, is it possible that when the file was copied for that particular machine was the file on the copied machine in use giving you that ghost? Maybe if you delete the file giving you problems and copy a new one from a proved file and try to run it to see if the ghost is gone.
