Model doesn't quite work right

I have an assembly. I took it apart in Solidworks and saved each part as a step file. I then loaded each part into Calypso.
But 2 of the models don't seem to play well with Calypso. I pick a radius on the end of the part and it picks the bottom of the part also. Is the a way to fix the model so it only picks what I choose??
Thanks
Kyle

Hmmmm,
Did you try auto-healing the model?
That aside, make sure the model is being exported in the same units you're bringing it into in Calypso.
Also in my experience, it's better to export the actual SLDPRT model individually (if you have it) than it is to do it out of an assembly.

I had a similar problem about a year ago, I decided it was not the solid models because on the Zeiss PCs it wasn't happening and it wasn't happening on the laptop I used to use only on my desktop offline seat. It was really annoying as it would select features through planes and I couldn't put points on some surfaces it would go to the surface underneath.

I called Zeiss and the application engineer sent me a link to remote view my screen and saw what was happening. He thought something was wrong with a config file, we copied the config folder renamed it and he copied over a config file that was a version from when you install calypso(there is a backup somewhere in the files). It fixed the problem right away I just had to re create my stylus systems. He asked for the copy of the corrupted config file so they could look into it but I never followed up to see if they found what the root of the problem was. So now I keep a copy of my config file with my probes and defaults changed if anything like that happens again.

First off I suggest to NOT do a healing process. This would take all the individual components that were created and make them a single entity. What I have found successful is I will load all the individual components and thru CAD>Modify CAD-Entity and in Hierarchy toggle the features on and off as I need them for programming. This way one component will not interfere with another when trying to pick a feature. It is also in this same pull down you can move each component individually. You highlight the component you want to move then go to transformation and punch in the numbers you would want the component to move to.
I have an aerospace part I had to do this with and it worked beautifully.
