I went through and did the walk up and program method without cad. I just received the cad model and wanted to load it in, when I did it came in and doesn't match up with anything. How do I correctly align it to match my already done program.?

No, not the program, just the model. It's often easier to transform the model in a clean new measurement plan with nothing else involved (no possible side effects), then resave just the model (not the program) and load it in the other measurement plan.

I do this all the time with no issues at all.

I simply load the model and then heal it. After healing I transform the model, which if you haven't done that before then you'll need to know how. After transforming the model you need to do a "CAD Model Comparison" and then you have to give it a tolerance, the default is .0039 in i believe but I give it a .0001 in tolerance. After you're okay with a tolerance you click the button "Comparison" (I believe) and it will go through all the features you've created and compare them to the model you've loaded. Once this sort of insanely fast scan is finished you just highlight all the features and click "Apply".

It is truly a beautiful thing.

Rotate your trihedron first, then offset translation to match your alignment. For translation offsets, it helps to extract features and then select and open one to see how far you need to offset in X, Y, & Z.

Here is a brief rundown of transforming a model:

Bring the cad model in. Go to CAD, then to modify cad entities. Click on the hierarchy tab. Select the model so its highlighted. Then go to positioning and manually move it into the right spot. But as stated in earlier posts you may be better off starting over with model.
