Can Calypso 2019 (6.8.08) Run On a Windows 7 Computer

We have the following machines at my facility
Contura G2, RDS Vast XXT TL1 head, Zeiss Z440 HP computer Windows 10 Calypso 2018
ACCURA 2, RDS, Vast XXT TL3 head, Zeiss Z440 HP computer Windows 10 Calypso 2018.
Here is the problem, at age 71 the owners are allowing me to work part time to assist the two people hired to replace me.
I have been given a HP Zeiss 420 computer Windows 7 Calypso 2018 to use with our planner.
We have everything we need to upgrade to Calypso 2019, the limiting factor being the computer they gave me to use.
If we upgrade Calypso on the two CMM's I would not be able to open and work with programs on the planner being they are not backwards compatible and it is unlikely I will be getting anything new anytime soon.
Here is the million dollar question, will Calypso 2019 run in a Windows 7 environment.
I Know under resources>compatibility settings you can save the program with Perfomance as if created with Rev. 3.4 all the way up to 6.8.
This does not work. We have tried this and it will not open up in Calypso 5.6 we have on an old Prismo, C98 controller we have in the back of our shop.

I have windows 10 on my CMM Computers with Calypso 2019;However, I have one computer that is running windows 7 on Calypso 2019 and it functions just like my computers with Windows 10.

I'm not happy that I still have windows 7 but my IT department keeps lying to my face. I'm starting to think maybe she's seeing someone else.

There is a difference between not-supported and not-compatible. It will run on 2019 from what I've seen, but it's just not supported anymore since officially Windows 7 is dead. There is no more support for Windows 7, so if there is a Windows update that is needed (mainly something like a .NET Framework update) you will be out of luck.

You can still upgrade to Windows 10 for free, and you should. There is no reason not to.

I was able to download the entitlement ID on the windows 7 machine and install Calypso 2019 (6.8).
It runs flawlessly and I feel better than on the Windows 10 machines.
Wouldn't you know it but, after I got this all up and running, work set me up with a different computer with Windows 10 in another part of the building.
I was able to install the entitlement ID on this newer computer and install the new Calypso.
Now I can just move the dongle to the particular computer they want me to work at.
This is pretty slick. Not sure if it is allowed by Zeiss, but it works.
