[Me...]
The PC that Zeiss set up for our company has Windows 10 Enterprise 2016. I've had issues restarting since I started here last year in 2018. We have a third party tech company that is telling me Zeiss has to fix the issue. Anyone else seen this problem before? [Ke...]
Shawn, When you say "issues restarting", what exactly do you mean? We run Windows 10 Pro on our CMMs, and I have noticed random shutdowns on both my Planner seat and on a few of our CMMs. I'm curious if this is the same issue you speak of? [Me...]
The issue is that is gets stuck while restarting. I literally have to hard shutdown to have it function again.
[mi...]
I run Windows 10 Enterprise on all 3 of my Contura's running with Vast Gold XT heads. Changed them over to Windows 10 myself about 4 months ago and have not had any issues with shutting down
[Me...]
I used basically the same PC/Zeiss Contura for 3 years at a previous job and had no issues as well. Something's up with this one though, not sure if it's our incompetent third party tech company at fault or there is an actual issue with the PC. [Ri...]
I had an issue with a new PC where a Windows update was corrupting the system, so after the update you couldn't restart the PC or it would fail to start. Finally I just reset the PC to factory, and re-installed everything myself. I have had no issues since.

Started a ticket with Zeiss Support about this and it seems as if they do not want to even attempt to solve the issue. Not ideal because this issue has been there since day 1 of us receiving the PC & machine.
[Ke...]
We don't have Windows 10, or these issues with our CMM, but... We have other equipment that are connected to "the network", that sometimes have issues when IT decides they need to push some updates. We were hoping to get our CMM's connected, after we upgrade to W10, so... #following
[Me...]
Please sign in to view this quote. Spent all day Friday on the phone with HP, we basically just downloaded and installed 4 drivers and it corrupted the registry from what we can tell. That ended up wiping out the system we have set up with our third party networking company so now I have to reset the PC back to factory. I'm pretty mad right now. You should only need to do a system restore to that.

[Me...]
Long story short, after getting no help from Zeiss and after them recommending support from HP, we ended up corrupting the Registry. I'm hesitant on doing the Recovery disk right now because if it doesn't fix the registry then I wiped my PC for no reason.

If you can, get all of you files off the primary hard-drive, and try the re-image. Just make sure you get license files. They are located in %programdata%/Zeiss/License
[Ne...]
Please sign in to view this quote. Our new 6.8/2019 software with machine also does random shutdowns... The log shows Application Error from vwnt.exe mostly and sometimes the acis.exe will stall the software, too. IT believes it is a Calypso software error rather than anything with updates/firewalls, but I'm not 100% placated. Just curious if anyone has seen this or has seen a resolution to this issue? [Am...]
We have windows 10 enterprise on all our machines, Have ran Calypso 2017-2019 versions 6.2,6.4.6.6 and 6.8 without any restarting issues. The only thing I've noticed is very rarely if you go file Open and then cancel it closes Calypso sometimes but not often enough to where its been an issue.
