[Go...]
Hello :-), I need to make a local CAD comparison with meshes of CAD model. But the model have sharps corners and the actual part doesn't, so the result isn't convincing : I would like to "exclude" the sharhe edge from my mesh selection. I tried to use a surface curve from 0.5mm of border but I can't make a surface selection "inside" it only "on" it: I would like a area selection ("manualy" done) like below : Do you have an idea ? [Be...]
Hi, Idea: Select patches on CAD Decrease the selected region with the according command Hope this helps?! Regards, Bernd
[Lu...]
Edit the ACTUAL surface or geometry OR when you apply the Measuring Principle. look for the "Decrease selection at borders" option and check it.
[Go...]
Hello Luis, Thank you for your answer, it's exactly what I need ! I have constructed a Surface and apply Construct Fitting Surface method : Result : Best regards, Sylvain.
[Go...]
Please sign in to view this quote. Hello Bernd, Following to your message, my team mate (Aka Kevin) show me the Decrease Select Area : But I have chosen to make a fitting surface with Decrease selection at borders (see Luis' message) because it's more "accurate" for my need. Thank you for your answer. Best regards, Sylvain. Edited January 6, 2023
[Lu...]
Sylvain, If you going to work on the CAD make sure the "CAD triangulation parameters" is appropriate. Also i found that some times it will not do it on the Actual data. Regards

[Mi...]
This might not be an option for you, but when I run into this issue, I create radii on the edges of the CAD model. I'll generally take a quick measurement of the scan object radius first, then go into NX and put edge radii of that same size where I need them on the CAD model.
