[FR...]
Hello, I have a XY plane and on top of it there is a curve plane. In the result element box, I am trying to use formula input to calculate the minimum distance from the lowest point of the curve surface to my XY plane, how can I get the minimum Z point from the curve from the formula? and the maximum Z from plane? thanks. [Cl...]
I would think that if you set the XY planes evaluation to outer tangential, and then pull the curve into a minimum (Z) coordinate. Once that's done you can plug both into the result element. Someone else may have a better method, but that should work.
[FR...]
How can I pull the curve into a minimum (Z) coordinate? Using standard Z value function? It can not accept free form.
[Th...]
Construction > Minimum Coordinate. Set it to evaluate your curve feature and make sure the reference axis is set to Z. Likewise for your max, you'd use the Maximum Coordinate construction instead of Minimum.
[Cl...]
Sorry Franco. I wrongly assumed you knew what I was referring to.
[FR...]
Thank you Clarke. It is always good to learn something. 🙂 And thank you Thomas, I think I got what you mentioned. I guess need to change free form to 3D curve as construct min coordinate does not have free form selection. 😃
