Ghost stylus

A very strange thing just happened on my Contura G2. I transferred a program from our 322 O-inspect. I assigned the correct (new) stylus and loaded it into autorun. I ran the newly transferred program, and it ran all the way through without incident. The second time it ran. The cylindrical body of the XXT collided with the fixture. We don't know when during the program, as no one was watching. We got the drives back on and looked at the program. Everything appeared to be correct, until I got to the stylus assignments in the measurement plan editor. There was a stylus system from when the program was on the O-inspect. Like I said, the program ran once just fine, then crashed on the second run. Why/how could this happen if it ran the first time without error, but not the second? Also, wouldn't I have got an error message stating that the stylus from the other machine doesn't exist, because that stylus system is only on the O-inspect.

I've had some seriously weird stuff happen when a program is open on two different computers.
A memorable time was a 30 minute program, which kept running for hours, and showed no sign of stopping. It would check a feature and move on without registering data for what it had just done. When it got to the end, it started over with no input from me.

Could that be the case here?
