Profile of a line using Best Fit

I am measuring a curve and trying report the form as best fit.
I am creating a best fit alignment to the curve, then using this alignment in the characteristic.
My issue is with the plot. It appears to be only using 1/2 of the available tolerance.
Looking at the plot, if it moved in the Z direction to the top of the tolerance band most of the area would be within tolerance.
Any idea what I am doing to keep it from moving more in Z? 2707_ad6a6739c3bf6b5e15f98ed8aa7021e8.jpg

Try using the Tschebyscheff Best Fit instead of Gauss, or you can just select "No Datum Reference Frame" in the line profile characteristic if you don't have any Datums.
