[He...]
Hello, is there a way to switch a negative result on a report to a positive. Example, I have a length that comes from the X zero of my program. It reports out as -.875, is there a way to change it to a positive? I see that I can put a formula in the result, is that the best way to switch it to a positive? Thank you!! [To...]
Are you using an X characteristic? You could solve your issue by using a distance of some sort, such as Cartesian Distance. The result will always be positive. Using the X, Y or Z checkbox in a feature is not always the best solution. For circles, maybe. But for planes, hardly ever. A former "ol' timer" from Zeiss, no not you Mr. Helle, once said to me, "What is an X characteristic? Where is it in the standard?" Thank you MB.... [No...]
Can you describe your intention more precisely? Do you want ALL negative results to be reported positive? Do you just need a positive actual displayed or also a correct evaluation? Displaying (not calculating!!) a negative value as positive on the PiWeb report is a piece of cake, but doing this only with selected values or even get a correct tolerance evaluation is much more difficult if not impossible. So it depends on what exactly you want to do.
[He...]
Please sign in to view this quote. It is an X characteristic, this is the best solution to my problem. Thank you very much.
[He...]
Please sign in to view this quote. I think I already have a solution, but to answer your question. We import our data into IQS, the engineers were questioning the negative result. Changing it from a characteristic to a length seems to be the easiest fix. Thank you for your response. [Ro...]
Please sign in to view this quote. Hello Herendeen Mark, It is possible to help me with a solution for importing data into IQS? We are struggling to type all values manualy because we could't find a way to use the options for importing datas from Calypso. Many thanks in advance, Mihai Rohan
