[Ro...]
Ok, so all of my programs use the same header, VPHEAD.gra in the default folder. My personal header has 2 user inputs at the start for the operator to type in the work order and individual part number. I just finished some sweet PCM stuffs for one of my programs that services 7 part families and 6 millimeter thicknesses (42 parts), and in doing so i've made this 1 program generate its own part number based on 2 inquireList entries. So now that the part number generates itself, i don't want the operator to have to do it, because at some point the operator could make an err and we could have 2 conflicting parts numbers on the same printout. i went into my Header editor and copied my VPHEAD and named it for the part family, but when i went into my "Define printout" i just realised that i cannot select a particular VPHEAD file, i can only select a folder, which is still "default"? Then I tried copying the Default folder and giving it a name that reflects my part family and renaming the new "VPHEAD-Partnumber" to "VPHEAD", and told calypso to use the new folder. Now the custom report has no part number showing but the operator is still being prompted to enter it. I tried checking and unchecking the box for User input, i tried closing and reopening the program, noting makes the part number input go away. What am i missing?jhgfghfgdsfd.JPGJKHGHFGHFGD.JPGjhfghfgsfd.JPGJHFGHFGDSFD.JPGjhkghfgdfgd.JPG
[Th...]
If you roll your custom printout into a multiple printout definition, you can remove the incremental part number input field.

[Ma...]
I think you need to edit the "userfields.txt" file in the protform folder to control which fields the user is prompted for.
[Ro...]
Please sign in to view this quote. 1. i didn't have to edit anything but the VPHEAD for them to appear, i just had to add them to the header and click on the 'Force input at start' box. 2. would this affect any other programs? 3. how do you do it? [Th...]
Please sign in to view this quote. My mistake. I forgot there was a part number header and mixed the two up. You should still be able to use the multiple printout header window though? I was able to add and then remove the part number input with it as a test. Then again, I haven't tried changing around the custom printout header, but if removing the field there isn't dropping it from the operator input window, it's all I can think to do. [Ma...]
Did you delete the Part Number field from the vphead.gra in the default folder? I just did that with one of the fields and it removed it from the user input.
[Ja...]
Can you un-check the boxes next to "Part Number" in Multiple Printout>Select printout header parameters?
