[Mi...]
Well, we had a problem a month ago, the hard drive on the computer for our 2yr old Contura crashed. Had to put in a new hard drive and we just got it back. Dongle in place, inserted the thumbdrive and loaded the ZLAU file, the base Calypso and the updated Calypso. Hit the switch and it says it doesn't recognize the dongle or license is missing. I called Zeiss but they said our maintenance agree had expired and they can't help (I still can't understand how a 2yr old machine isn't under a maintenance agreement). I thought the dongle was the license. What did I miss?
[Gr...]
Being everything is set up as new, you have to re-install the licenses through the ZEISS License Utility. Our past experience has shown the only way to fix the license problem was through this. When you installed Calypso it should have provided a short cut on the desktop, if not it is located C:\Program Files (x86)\Zeiss\ZLAU\Client\ZLAU.exe. I hope this helps you Greg Kozera
[Mi...]
I wish I could find out if that was the answer to my issue. Yesterday while I was working on something else, another guy was messing with it and got it working. I wish I knew what he did but I'm good with it. Now I gotta set up the probe rack and probes. [Mi...]
got a bit of an update. Turns out the McAfee firewall was preventing the licenses loading and preventing the computer from connecting to the Contura. Now I'm sitting on my thumb waiting for security IT.
