[Za...] Posted January 3, 2020 Share Posted January 3, 2020 Hello all, I'm trying to run a new program for the first time and it's giving me this error ("CONT: 32 Command ignored: Collision - Continue with G60 or joystick") like it's out of room on the axis, but there's plenty of space for the CMM to move freely. I've tried running just one feature at a time on each side, and the same thing happens. I've tried resetting my base alignment to zero and running my manual alignment again without luck. The stylus shows up where it should be when I 'display probing object'. Does anybody have any idea why this is happening? I've only run into this issue before when the CMM is actually near the outside limits, but the CMM isn't really close to those boundaries for this part so I'm a little confused. The only thing I haven't tried is turning everything off and starting over, but I'd rather not have to re-qualify my styli today with only a couple hours left in the day. Any help is appreciated. [Da...] Posted January 3, 2020 Share Posted January 3, 2020 Hmm. Check your clearance cube. It might be really big, or off to the side. I did have to add a little bit to the +X side so the CMM won't crash into my fixturing, but this isn't even close to the edge and it's a fairly small part. There should be plenty of room for the CMM to travel freely around the part. It looks like I may have to shut down the CMM and requalify on Monday. [Jo...] Posted January 3, 2020 Share Posted January 3, 2020 I have this if a long probe is loaded and can't get above Z clearance plane. Execute a probe change and try again. [Za...] Posted January 3, 2020 Author Share Posted January 3, 2020 I've never run into this issue before creating secondary alignments, but it's possible that it's something I'm doing incorrectly considering I'm still fairly new to programming in Calypso. Okay, so I have my base alignment and the program will run through that without any issues. However, when it tries to scan the thread on this front face (A1), it's basically trying to take the point as if the part were upside down. If I take off the 'Alignment A' from A1, it will scan the thread properly, but the locations are wrong because they aren't coming from the origin that Alignment A represents. [Jo...] Posted January 3, 2020 Share Posted January 3, 2020 First off, get rid of the funky names for features. It is a bad practice to have spaces, symbols etc.. I'd get rid of some decimal places too, lol. You can see your secondary trihedron is pointing the wrong way, presumably because you have rotation in y minus plane as Z in alignment..
