[Cl...]
I have an ID slot (square) that has a surface profile callout of .003 U .000 -A-. The basic width is .292 (2x) The slot is concentric to -A-. I scanning a (spiral) 2d curve from top to bottom inside the slot, and recalling the points into a FFS for evaluation. The surface profile is checking good, but the widths are over sized by a few tenths, (.2953/.2955), verified with a gage pin. I'm using length of perpendicular for the widths. Bilateral with unequal distribution.
[Me...]
If the dimension on the print calls out profile for the the slot all around then keep in mind that the profile is per surface. Is there an actual dimension for the slot width?
[Cl...]
Ya, we just realized it's .003 per side, oops.
