How to move part around in the envlope of CMM

When I program Offline the part isn't anywhere inside the CMM envelope of the CMM. This really doesn't make a difference unless I do a simulation and then the simulation throws up crashes everytime it does a probe change. Also I would like to start programming fixtures in. So I need to set them in the CMM cube for placement. We are trying to make everything where we know it will work so I need to start putting the Grid plates, stops and such. How do I go about doing this. I know just a small question. How do you at other Company's do this
