[Ri...]
I have a part that I am checking, and it has features that need to be mearured aound the outside with all o.d. features at weird angles relative to the the XY origin, ie. I have a feature that needs measured at 30 degrees from the x origin of the part. How do I set the retract so that if follows parallel to the tool path feeding in? [st...]
You can set CMM positions inside the strategy to maneuver in and out.
[Ro...]
If its a circle or cylinder its pretty easy. The surface in the picture is a cylindrical cutout at about 15º from vertical. Create the cylinder by extracting feature. Open the strategy and create a CMM Position Open the cmm position and change Coordinates relative to "Feature" Set Radius and Angle to Zero, then whatever you put in as "Height" will move the CMM mosition (Movepoint) up and down the Z axis, or normal to the feature. If its a plane or other type of feature this can still be done, but its not as easy as Circles & Cylinder.fghghjh.JPGhjhkgjkhgj.JPG
