Lil Slot Profile....

I need lil expertise. I never fool with profile here. We have a new project that will require me to do so.

In the pic I have a .25 pro all around that keyhole. How do I accomplish this??

I do not have curve etc.. just the plain ol 6.8 Calypso. I have tried to knock this out, but nothing is working for me.

Any help is appreciated.

Hello,

1st measure the segments of the Profile by single geometry (Circle, 2d-Line)
2-nd same Features as at 1, but the Location and Dimension are contrained.

=> Deviation are according to nominal geometry with tolerance from line-form
Important also activated this Setting inside roundness and straightness

Graphic shows form and position deviation inside the form plott. All deviations should be inside tolerance.

Inspection (CC 6.6) runs by Simulation, must be addapt to real part start- , endpoint at lines and start-, endangle for circle.

Ok.. Update...

I got approved and bought the Curve/FF upgrade. I assume now I can do this profile???.

Is it an easy task? I have 2 circles and 2 lines called on the model and scanned. Do I need to recall these points under the curve tab?

I cant get to the curve class with Ryan until Feb. Guess I'm still in a pickel even though I have curve lol

If you just double click on the section it will grab the whole spline for you - you don't have to do the ctrl+click each spline.

I would also suggest that when you create a Curve to extract based a number of points per segment. I like to start with 100, and if I need to reduce my points later, I can.[/quote] This is the relevant part. For profile of a surface, I believe you'll want to do this scan at several heights and recall them into a FFS. I don't have that add-on, though, so I can't speak to that for certain.
