[SH...]
Hello, I am using vast XT probe head which does not rotate,my calibration sphere is aligned to 135 degree by zeiss service engineers.Due to this angle I can't finish the calibration of all the probes in a single setup.I have to change the orientation of master sphere and calibrate it again, more time consuming. If I change the angle of the master sphere to 90 degree that means parallel to the Z axis, this is a legal method?? Can I do it?.
[Ch...]
That is allowable. They make ones that point straight up too. What is weird to me is that I calibrate all of my probes at whatever angle. Calypso will define it's own travel path during qualification that should work. I would recommend two options before having to rotate the reference sphere every time. 1. search in Calypso for "RSH shaft definition." Calypso will probe the reference sphere holder to find the exact angle. 2. Search for "defining a manual path for stylus qualification"
