Re-using parts of program in other programs

Hey there Zeissland. I'm looking to learn something new today. We had an inquiry today from a potential new Zeiss customer. They make a large number of parts that have a 4 hole pattern that is used for plug-in connector. All of the parts are different but they all share the same 4 hole pattern. This pattern is not always in the same location from part to part. These 4 holes are checked for diameter at 3 different Z heights. Is there a way, without PCM, to create a routine that can be recalled into many different part programs?

Create the features in 1 program with an alignment that makes sense for copying. Recreate that alignment in another program where you want them and cut and paste them in. I do this all the time for ports, connectors, etc that are common. Not very elegant but useful.

I think you can do this with the "Power Features" option. I never use it so I don't know a ton about it. But I believe that is your ticket. You also can have multiple programs open and copy features out of one program and paste into the other.

I just copy / paste the features from the first program to the second, and adjust any nominal data (actual location from based alignment) as needed.
