[No...]
We often come across strange problems with some Calypso settings changing on their own. The most annoying are when the decimal places change from 3 to 4 (we don't need more than 3 for plastics) and the Autorun file selection is vanishing. (Explanation of the latter: Our Autorun operators usually set up Calypso temporarily to start with Autorun and load a certain *.arn file. If this is set up once and then switched back to start Calypso normally, the selected *.arn file name is being stored. When later Autorun is started from the menu, it automatically loads the previously selected file). These two settings are reset frequently for some users and I have no clue why. I strongly suspect either something that happens during the annual maintenance or the installation of new Calypso versions or service packs. I once edited all the user data files manually to have the same settings for everyone (because the 21st century software Calypso has NOT A SINGLE user admin function), but to no avail. Some time later the settings had reset again for a number of users (but not all!) Does anyone have a clue what might be going on here and how to prevent it? I assume it wouldn't be wise to write-protect the data files...
[Ca...]
I have the same problem here. We measure (mostly) in inches, and report 6 decimal places. From time to time, both CMM's and our offline seats will revert back to metric and 4 decimal places. None of our 4 seats seem to trend together on the reset, or at least not in a pattern I've recognized.
[De...]
We have one machine here that randomly decides to start in metric. If I change to a different user and then go back to the same user it was on originally it then works. I think they have some kind of bug where it does not always load the profile correctly.
