[Ro...]
I have these programs im working on, but they're not "urgent", i'm way ahead of the schedule. So when something else comes up i drop them and go do other things, sometimes for a week. I leave myself notes so i know where to pick up at, but some things like "did i heal this model" come up from time to time and it got me wondering, how do i know if a model has been healed already? And what's the problem of healing a model twice? I was bitten once when i clicked "Build Geometry" and one family (about 10 programs) got all screwed up because the model actually changed after healing/building, so i never do that anymore. [No...]
I think there's no "model already healed" flag that you could query, and if there was one, Calypso either wouldn't evaluate it (healing is done by the ACIS CAD core) or wouldn't show it to you. The healing process starts with an analyzing phase where all the faces etc. are tested to comply with certain tolerances (some of which you can set in the healing dialog) and the model is checked for gaps. If a surface lies within its tolerance, nothing should happen, even if you heal multiple times. If something's out of tolerance, the selected healing options are applied, so everything should lie within the tolerances afterwards, meaning multiple healings shouldn't have any further effect unless you change the tolerances. That's the theory at least...
