Anyone familiar with this error (see picture) or even how one might start to decipher what it is trying to say?

Program will run through but gets hung up when trying to generate PiWeb Report.

Can you be more specific? It looks like there is something wrong with one of the characteristic. Maybe it uses faulty dimensions marking, name marking, double name etc.

Does it say where the error is? On certain characteristic / feature? Purple colored characteristic?

Sorry for the delayed response. It does not say where the error is, nor does it point to a specific feature or characteristic, at least as far as I can tell. It also does not show any purple colored characteristics (that was the first thing I looked for). I will comb through the program a bit more closely, when time allows, and report any findings. I wish there was a way to decipher the error codes generated by Calypso, this would be extremely helpful.

Also worth noting, the programmer working on the program submitted an error report (by clicking on error report button shown in the error popup) to Zeiss and got another error stating that the file could not be submitted as it was too large. Well then, can't report an error without receiving another error, great. 🙄

This kind of error ("System Error") is not so much thrown by Calypso itself, but more by the underlying Smalltalk programming environment. These messages are not made for the operator, but for Calypso developers. The cause of the error can be tricky to track down and is not always obvious by just looking at the message.

As to the error report growing too large, this can happen depending on how many information you allow it to contain. Most of the time oversize is caused by including the CAD model. There's an option dialog where you can control what should be included.
When I'm about to send an error report, I call Zeiss and request an upload link. Then size doesn't matter 😃

I believe I've seen this error as well. I could be mistaken about the exact error but I've noticed this occasionally after using Graphic Elements or CAD Evaluation...
