Hello everyone,
Can someone help?
So I have problems with GearPro. Can someone explain to me please how program calculates “mean value ranges”? In Printout.jpg[/b] you can see that I have strange result for average fHß, it is not average from four measurements. In Prog.jpg you can see what I have put in program. I use this in another programs and I don`t have any problems.

Hi Edgars,

Notice that your reference width for fhb is 32.00, try clicking the setting characteristic yellow arrow on the tolerance screen, there should be options in there to adjust, currently it appears to be analyzing 100% of the trace.

Good luck, let us know if that worked.

Yes, I know about that, but Volvo STD says that I need to extrapolate it 100%. I`m wondering why "Mean value ranges" dosn`t evaluate average results. Maybe there is another option to evaluate average result from four fHbeta measurements?

Ah,I see.

Well. Is the design for this a nominal crown (center 80%)? I would certainly question the necessity of needing fhb over 100%, especially when we can clearly see the extreme drop off at the ends. Also, as you're probably aware , this is only analyzing the pink regression line.

Regarding why they do not report actual average, which should be close to 7.5µm for fhb Left flank, I'm not sure...

I'd suggest finding and contacting Roman Gross here in the forums, I think he is kind of the lead Gear Pro Applications Engineer. I've dealt a lot with the Lead North American lead guy, who sends these question to HQ in Germany.

Good Luck

Hello together,

in helix you defined an intersection measurement.
So the mean value will be calculated from all measured helices.
I guess you want the mean value based only from the middle section of 4 teeth, correct?
In this case go to presentation dialogue and activate the setting as in the screenshot.

Does this fix your "problem"?

Regards Roman
