[Ke...]
I have some unique star probes. The data of the probes were sent to me in a .ssc file can I import this data in Caylpso. If so how would I do that? Thanks
[De...]
The .ssc are stylus system creator files and can be imported into any seat of Calypso that includes planner. From the Main Menu, Choose the Planner menu, then choose Import Stylus System
[No...]
If you don't have a Planner seat, you'll have to ask the sender for a PCF file, exported from the stylus system management. PCF files can be imported without Planner option. That'll give you the stylus names and the basic geometry of the probe.
[Ri...]
Doesn't 2018/2019 allow you to import SSC files even without Planner? I know that it comes with a copy of Stylus System Creator either way.
[De...]
I don't know since the only machine I have with the newer version installed on so far is the one that has planner.
[No...]
Without a Planner license the Stylus Creator is view-only and since SSC files are only really needed for simulation, I guess loading SSCs will be blocked too, even in 2019. But I'm merely guessing here, as I'm still waiting for our SMA renewal to become active, so I can install 2019.
[Ke...]
How do I know if I have a planner seat?
[De...]
If you have planner and it's license is active you will have a menu item called planner, and on that menu will be the "Import SSC File" Option. You can check your licenses by navigating through he menu to .. Extras -> Settings -> Miscellaneous and looking at the licenses tab. The license is called "Planner"
