Slow throughput

At one of our remote locations, we had to install new hard drive on a 2013 vintage HP previously at configured with Win 7 and Calypso 6.2 on a Contura G2. Windows 10 and Calypso 6.6 were installed. Our IT department copied the entire C:\Users\Public\Documents\Zeiss folder from the old drive to the new one. (Original folder structure was renamed as a backup precaution)

I had written some programs here and proved them out on Prismo, with 6.6 and Win10 with absolutely no issues. Programs were then transferred to the Contura computer. Operator says the machine "hangs" after each feature. He said "about 5 to 10 minutes. (Not sure if there is an exaggeration factor here). He says that in Task Manager, the Ethernet is pegged. I confirmed his IP address and settings were equal to mine. He lowered the number of points in the features and the delay is less so I think there is an issue writing the data from the controller to the computer.

I am suspicious that copying the entire folder Zeiss folder may have included something not agreeable between 6.2 and 6.6. But before I go through and restore the original folders and then transfer only the config folder, which what I would normally done.

Any thoughts????

Letting Calypso regenerate most of the user data folder on its own would probably be my first troubleshooting step on something like this. I tend to avoid manually carrying over any more data than is absolutely necessary when upgrading software, just in case there's some config value somewhere that will send the new version into a table-flipping fit.

for settings backup I prefer to use the option provided by Calypso,
Extras \ Settings \ Miscellaneous \ Maintenance:

For a cleaner installation I set everything again as new CMM (only the CAA files are transferred if is necessary).

After this I have had problems with the performance of some Workstations and in almost all cases the reason is that the computer does not achieve the Minimum required specifications.

in one specific case with Calypso 6.6 when the Ram is smaller than 8 GB after some hours working the programs take longer time calculating and is necessary restart the workstation.

same case when the processor speed is smaller than 3.1 GHz but here the calculating time in the programs is very slow all time.

UPDATE***** Turns out that someone had played with some IP settings somewhere in the system, not in the CMM settings in Calypso. Those settings were returned to normal and now everything is running fine.
