idmeaspoints location

I have all of our programs saving the measuring points to an external file instead of within the measurement plan folder. I've noticed that if you go to the folder they are stored in, many of the files seem to be hidden. When i run a subsequent evaluation, suddenly they appear. does anyone know a way to show them whenever I want? I though at first they were just hidden files, but when i turn on "view hidden files" in windows, they still don't appear. Any ideas?

I've noticed this issue with my network locations. I basically have to refresh the folder by choosing my network shortcut and drilling down to the folder again, every time.. slightly aggravating, but maybe it's the way I have it mapped.

The measured points would have to be in the specified directory to be able to perform a Subsequent Evaluation in the first place.

What version of Windows & what File Manager are you using?

Extras>Environment>Paths
tick the "fixed directory for actual values" button and put the file path you want them to go to in the box below.

If you mean how do you load something from a different file than what is set; go to Plan>subsequent evaluation of several measurements and you will get the option to select a file.

Not sure what you're getting at here. Do you think I don't have the file path set in Calypso? That would be a completely different problem. Then I would be complaining that I cant get Calypso to find the measurement points to load into the measurement plan.

Edit: ...And I use File Explorer.

Now that you mention it, we also have this kind of issues sometimes, but this is clearly Windows/network related. When I copy files to a network location and look for them on another computer (!), they seem to be missing sometimes. Refreshing (F5) doesn't always fix it immediately. It can take a few minutes until the files show up. But this never happened on the same computer I used to copy the files.

It sounds like an issue with Windows Explorer not refreshing. If you are able to recall the points or subsequent evaluation then the files ARE there, they're just not showing up in Windows Explorer immediately. I have worked quite a bit with .zmp's & have not had the issues you are describing. I'm thinking it may be a config issue with Windows. Maybe check out this link, step 1 & step 3 seem like something to check. If the files are on a Network drive maybe your IT dept has some settings they could update for new files to show up quicker
