[Za...]
I'm trying to figure out the best way to measure the .718 distance of the keyway on the print. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Zachkeyway print.JPGKeyway.JPG
[Ia...]
I only have base calypso but this is how I would do it. I'd make a symmetry point on the sides of the keyway. Then make an alignment with just the Keyway locked for the Planar rotation. Now you can make points set to that alignment with the X or Z nominals set at 0 (whichever one is pointing to the keyway). I'm not sure if it makes more sense to use a single probe point on the circle feature, or to use the entire circle for the X or Z axis and add the radius to get the distance required. I'd play around with both options. I haven't used caliper distance yet, but this might be a situation where it would be really useful. I'm sure there is a curve/freeform option that is easier/better. [Ri...]
Make a secondary alignment that is on the C/L of the keyway, and use the Caliper Tool to calculate the distance from the back of the keyway to the ID.
