Running Newer Calypso Versions

Greetings CMM Professionals,

I have quick question regarding running a newer version of Calypso than what is on our CMM.
We are at 5.6.2 , our customer wants to use their program at 5.8 on our CMM.
I thought you could only run a lower revision level which for us would be 5.6.2 or lower.
On previous posts I thought I read that Zeiss could possibly open the program and
save it as a lower version. ( open it 5.8 and save it at 5.6.2 ).

Has anyone had to do this out there???
If not , any work arounds available or am I stuck doing another program.
