Trying to set up the Automatic probe changer in offline seat

Do I need to set up the Automatic stylus changer in the offline seat if so how do I get it to work one I get the probes assigned?

You don't need it but you'll be forced to do manual probe changes when you run a program.

You set up the probe rack pretty much the same way you would on the CMM. You'll add probe holders, define the locations with the appropriate Master Probe, etc. Some things will happen automatically, but like I said, use the same steps you would on the actual CMM.

Just set it up as you would for a live CMM.

Can you please share what you did? I'm having the same issue. I'm getting a "Connection failed to stylus database" error when trying to use my config folder.

What I've done for my offline seat is I copy one of the config files from my CMM and that will make everything be set up the same way on your offline seat.

Yeah, that's what I did but was getting an error when trying to connect. Looks like it's a SQL server issue.

Then maybe the access rights of the probe database are not sufficient anymore after copying. There was a past Calypso version which did not backup the probe db with the internal backup function if the user didn't have admin rights. This bug has been cured in the meantime, but it shows that the access rights matter. Try being an admin when you copy the files.
