[Ha...]
Has anyone had much experience with implementing SPC charts? Currently, I have 5 graphs on one report to represent different KC dimensions. Is there a way to default to a specific graph without having the operator right click to choose? Also, rather than loading multiple measurements, is there a way to tell PiWeb to grab a specific number of measurements in order to constantly display the latest graphical data? Ultimately, we would like our operators to run the parts through the CMM, input their manually data in Monitor, then have an up-to-date representation of our SPC data without having to make "direct selections" of multiple parts. [Mi...]
I use PiWeb 100% for my SPC data of SC points. I use the process protocol template for this. If you want a specific graph like the ones you get when you right click, then you would have to make a template for that 1 graph you want to show. Which graph are you wanting to show up after the prg runs? I use the process capability a lot as most eng here want to see trends. Piweb defaults to the last 12 runs. You can change that manually but it will change back to 12 once you close out the report.
[La...]
Sounds like the easiest thing to do here would set your characteristics as critical via a characteristic attribute. Then have a generic report with a Protocol table that looks for Characteristic = Critical and will repeat the rows or cells with the charts you want generated for however many critical dims there are. Allows you to use the same layout for many programs without having the operator select or do any work.
[La...]
To answer your second question, in Designer, open the report you have them filling information into. In the data binding tab, measurement tab, enter the # of measurements you want to be queried. It saves this value in Designer, but if you change it in Monitor, it will always revert back to the Designer settings.
