If I am not mistaken, they want a 2.5 microinch surface finish, direction doesn't matter, and they want the finish using a .030 cutoff. Is this a length cutoff or is this a filter cutoff? I am seeing some oscillation in my roughness waveform. The part is a ball, as the probe falls off the center of the ball, the oscillations become more severe. If you right click on the image and hit "search google with image" it will bring you to the originating site. ANSI callouts below; You will find that the cutoff callout is the same on both standards.
