Hello everybody,

I have created a custom log header in CALYPSO 6.6. To do this, define the appropriate parameters in the userfields.ini. I have been working longer this way; is working. The only thing that bothers me is that when starting the CNC test plan, entering the log header data whose order is arbitrary. Can anyone give me a hint on how to define this order of log header data specifically for me?

I have an old test program that i haven't used in forever, it has 2 user prompts in the beginning for work order and incremental.
Work order comes first in the list at the start of the program, I've been trying for an hour to get it to reverse the order and do incremental first, no luck.
I've re arranged the VPHEAD file, i've deleted and saved and re added the items, nothing makes the order change.

Sorry i'm no help for you today.

I THINK the order is set up alphabetically. Not sure if it can be changed But I could be wayyyy off base

Oh, I went through something like this months ago. All the predefined header fields get listed alphabetically (except incremental part number, that appears to always be at the bottom of the predefined list), and after that all your user-defined variables get listed alphabetically. Best guess is this behavior is hard-coded into Calypso and can't be changed. At least with user-defined headers you can probably do really hacky things like prepending numbers to force a specific order.

Not alphabetically, because Order is above Incremental part number, in my main programs Lot ID is above Part Number.
Also Not in order of where it appears on in the header (up down left or right)
Also not in order of the list inside the header edit tool

Thomas may be on to something, if incremental is always at the bottom that would explain some things i saw.

Oh hey I think I've figured it out. I had a look in the systemfieldsassistance.ini file and found that the alphabetical order of the system field names matches that of the header order. As an example, a handful of fields like audit number and comment appeared below all of my user-defined header inputs, and that's because their system names are vda_auditno and vda_remark. Thus, Calypso alphabetizes them below u_partside and etc.

I don't know if you can actually re-order these manually - I renamed vda_auditno to auditno and restarted Calypso, and it was still near the bottom. Nor do I know where incremental part number and reason for inspection are defined, as neither appear to be in that INI file, and reason for inspection appears near the top of the list in Calypso, whereas part number ends up in the middle. Maybe someone else can experiment?

Just so I'm not ultimately hijacking the thread for no good reason: if someone can find a way to use systemfieldsassistance.ini, or a similar file, to reorder predefined headers, it would solve the OP's problem, I think.
