Auto Run Pallet Question : Why Delay after each run?

Hi All,

So recently been dabbling in Pallet programming with Auto run. What I am seeing is this, After each part finishes.. The program pauses, the report then runs and pops up on screen (just like a normal program) ... Then after a few more seconds the program continues to Part number 2.

So, How can I make the Pallet program not pause? I would like to see it run part 1, then after it finishes just continue with out pausing to Part 2.

The pause is a pain because It is almost the same time it takes to just manually remove and put in a new part in the Normal program. a good 10-30 seconds on some.

Any tips?

So each Program does not have a CNC Park Position.

I do use Results to File > Data save

So i can bring up the data from Subsequent Eval if needed.

I seem to have most time "Thinking" at program end with complex profiles, and moreso if i'm printing images.
My end of program cram session often goes over 1 minute, so if i was running this program on a pallet then there would be a minute delay between when the program stops running and the next part starts running.

so basically threes nothing you can do about it other then to stuff 10 more gig of memory, and a graphics card, and a new chipset into the big black box on the table next to your cmm

But is your data being saved on a network? If it's local, I wouldn't expect it to take too long. Are you doing a lot of Surface Profiles? Those can be time killers but generally before the report is generated.

Data is saved locally... I really need to setup a backup location... Im screwed if "workarea" folder gets corrupted...

Calypso 2019 introduces a new option which allegedly optimizes the way in which palettes are measured. See the release notes for more info.

Are you using PiWeb? On the first part, it takes a bit to pop up my report from PW. If I leave the Piweb screen open, it runs faster after the first part. I guess PW needs to load in...

Does it not have the delay when you run it without using pallets? All the pallet (auto run) is doing is running your prg then moves to the preset XYZ and runs it again. It should run the same with or without the pallet.

Again, if your using PiWeb it takes a wee bit longer. Does for me anyway.

So After a normal run, like a typical live program non pallet.. It finishes and then results and piweb pops up. I have PiWeb Plus.

It does this entire thing in Pallet as well. So, runs the same exact way in and out of pallet with the reports popping up and same amount of time taken.

As for 2019.. We just go 2018.. Our computer is some what outdated and wont support Windows 10.. So we can not upgrade to 2019 next year unless we buy a new computer.
