[To...]
We just got the "CMM Check" with our new Prismo Ultra. We also purchased the program to run on the gauge. https://us.probes.zeiss.com/en/Machine- ... _2882.html
[Cl...]
What is your opinion of the artifact? I have been advocating for something like this as a way of verifying accuracy between annual calibrations, or after crashes.
[To...]
We just placed the machine on the floor on Monday and it will be installed in November. I think it's important as we are trying to verify Yasda Machining Centers with sub-micron accuracies. I feel this is the best way to make sure the CMM is still running good in-between calibrations. [To...]
Please sign in to view this quote. As well as being the Zeiss distributor for New England, we also sell Yasda Machining Centers and Nakamura Turning Centers. Some models are capable of holding under 2 microns and some models can hold half-micron tolerances however they have to be in the right environment. So, we built a "High Performance" Tech Center. Temperature and Climate Controlled, 3 foot thick footings, high-speed garage doors, etc. In order for us to prove the machines can do what they say they can do, we bought the Prismo Ultra. We're hoping it can do the job. Our Grand Opening is coming soon.

[Er...]
There's a Sweden in New England?! 😱 Seems like a place for me, Tom, your not looking for new co-workers? Someone to play with the new machine 🙂
[Da...]
Tom, that's a nice looking machine! We should be getting a Prismo Ultra by the end of the year. I'm curious to know how well the cmm-check works out for you once your new machine is up and running.

[Ch...]
I'm not saying I wanted that quote or anything but I noticed it only took me 3 minutes to reply. I have a brand new lab that I operate out of and we are building another brand new one as well. Everything looks of high quality and new with the exception of my desk. We had an intern order the desk for the lab and I'm pretty sure these are wal-mart specials. The desk are already losing their structural integrity which is totally lemons; However, I plan on using that as a justification to buy better desk and make lemonade. [To...]
Ha. This stuff is not cheap but this particular brand of workbenches are well made. The old adage "You get what you pay for" holds true with this stuff.
