Well i resisted as long as i could, but for some reason they decided to kill the shift (mainly because they couldn't get anybody to stay).......
So for the next couple of months ill walk around and act like a normal person, go to meetings and act like im taking notes, but when summers over and 3rd becomes available again, im gone!

Go to the Zeiss Portal - Software Center - Zeiss Calypso - Select the version you want, and you should see the main download and Service Pack.

I like to make a backup of the machine tab through Extras - Settings - Miscellaneous - Maintenance - Backup.

You can also go to C:\Users\Public\Documents\Zeiss\CALYPSO\config, and copy that folder over.

Richards method was the easiest, because it didn't take any effort on my part.
just save a backup and load a backup from a new PC.
is this a new feature? because i have always ended up manually swapping folders in the past.

now i just got to figure out how to access the portal, i was REJECTED the first time thru......

I think the backup was introduced like 4 or 5 main revisions ago. In the beginning it had a major bug: If your Windows user account had restricted access rights, the probe database files were not backed up properly, but you received no error message about it.
Meanwhile that has been fixed, but I still rename my backup.set file to backup.zip from time to time and check if everything's there... 😉
